Salt / Peppermills
All the salt and peppermills  have been handcrafted. The majority of them are of exotic woods. Some are of a combination of exotic and domestic wood. Some are just domestic wood. They all have a distinctive look due to the grain of the wood and the unique shape of each. They all have a food safe finish on them. The finish is also very durable, like the finish on a pen. When you see the one you want please click on the store and we will be happy to ship it to you. If the one you choose is marked sold please CONTACT US and we will see if we can make another very similar to the one you chose. There are no two alike but let us know what it is you like about the one you want. Also, if you have another design in mind please CONTACT US, we enjoy special orders.
The above pepper mills have exotic woods as the base. The far left is Padauk, the next three are all Cocobolo. The center has the sapwood
(the light wood) showing on the top adding interest. The Padauk is an orangish-red color with a unique grain. The Cocobolo has a very distinctive grain and the colors of it range from orange-red to dark brown, with the sapwood being tan in color. The grinder portion is bronze with the finial (top screw like piece) that adjusts for fine to coarse grind. The berries are placed in the sliding opening. As can be seen above, the grinders can be in either position on the wood.   $35.00 ea
Above, on the left the  pepper mill is made of Spalted Hackberry with a Purlpleheart band . The next 3  are exotic wood: Black and White Ebony. The wood grains and the shape is unique to each one.  The finish of the metal is bronze & brass. The top of the grinder adjusts the grind of the pepper berries, which are placed in the  opening that slides, from coarse to fine. They are 2.25"dia x 4"H.

The six salt/peppermills above all have ceramic centers which is the reason salt may be used in them in addition to pepper. The handles are chrome and black enamel. The 2 on the left are of exotic Redheart from C. America. On the right is Dalmata from Peru. The light areas are gum deposits in the wood, which is very typical of Dalmata. They all are approx. 1.75" dia. x 3" H.     $35.00 each

The four salt/peppermills above also have the ceramic centers allowing for the use of salt. The handles are chrome and black enamel. The woods are: exotic Padauk and Zebrawood both from Africa, and domestic Maple. They are laminated and then turned on a lathe. The grain and colors of the woods are taken in to account when the woods are placed together to produce the pieces. The shapes add interest and accent the grains. They are approx. 2.25" dia. X 5" H.   $45.00 each.

All the peppermills below have an antique-style peppermill mechanism that adjusts easily from coarse to extra fine. They have a brass or copper or bronze finish. They do not accommodate salt since they are metal. The body of each mill has been turned from different woods, some exotic or domestic. Below each is the name of the wood and where it comes from. When a country does not appear with the name of the wood it is from N. America. The number that appears beside the name of the wood is the number on the piece since each piece is signed and numbered. As with all woods the grain makes each one "one of a kind". They are approx. 2.25" x 3.75" with an over all height of 8".   They are $45.00  except the Black & White Ebony which is very difficult to obtain, it is $55.00.
